What are the Career Prospects for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in India?

Career prospects for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in India

Robotic process automation (RPA) is a rapidly growing field, generating $3 billion annually and expected to reach $8.75 billion in the next three years. RPA is being adopted by a variety of industries, such as banking, healthcare, and supply chain management. Also, big IT companies such as Microsoft are already using it. The trend indicates that RPA will be widely adopted globally in the next five years, creating many opportunities for skilled RPA personnel.

In India, there are already over 40,000 RPA job openings on Monster.com and Naukri.com combined. To talk about the future, it is predicted that over 200,000 RPA jobs will be generated in India. A part of this can be accrued to the initiatives taken here in the field of RPA. For instance, the “Tech Startup Program,” a project of The All-India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA), was introduced in 2014. It serves as an incubation environment for start-ups and other early adopters working in India on robotics and robotic process automation (RPA).

RPA is a skill-based and futuristic field, offering a variety of career options, such as business analyst, project manager, and RPA consultant. Salaries for RPA jobs globally range from $50,000 to $165,000 per annum, and RPA developers in India make approximately Rs. 565,000 annually. Many experts agree that RPA is the future of IT automation, and online certifications have increased candidates’ incomes by 20-40%.

Candidates must follow a structured learning process to analyze, grasp, and develop automation based on RPA. They should also gain hands-on experience with as many tools as possible and start implementing automation designs. CloudThat provides relevant certification training, which can help candidates stand out from the competition and make a career in RPA.
