There is no longer a generic Claude certification.
Anthropic's certification program now includes four credentials across three professional roles:
Claude Certified Associate – Foundations
Claude Certified Developer – Foundations
Claude Certified Architect – Foundations
Claude Certified Architect – Professional
Associate is designed around practical Claude use and customer-facing workflows. Developer focuses on building applications with the Claude API, Claude Code, tools and Model Context Protocol. Architect – Foundations focuses on designing Claude solutions end to end, while Architect – Professional moves into enterprise-scale integration, governance and lifecycle ownership.
That makes exam preparation role-specific.
A business professional preparing for Associate should spend time on output evaluation, prompting, workflow integration and responsible use.
A developer needs hands-on familiarity with APIs, tool use, Claude Code, agents, MCP, security and production reliability.
An architect needs to reason through design trade-offs involving orchestration, deployment, evaluation, cost, governance and safety.
The other important consideration is eligibility.
As of October 2026, Anthropic states that Claude Certification exams are available to people working at organizations in the Claude Partner Network. Registration requires a recognized partner-company email address; personal email addresses are not accepted.
So before investing heavily in a Claude certification exam preparation program, verify both that the certification matches your role and that you are eligible to sit the official exam.
