AWS Solutions Architect training has a deceptively simple problem.
Most courses cover the same core services: Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, Amazon VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront and DynamoDB.
That does not mean they prepare learners equally well.
The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam is built around architectural decisions. The current SAA-C03 blueprint evaluates candidates across four major areas: designing secure, resilient, high-performing and cost-optimized architectures. AWS also recommends hands-on practice alongside exam questions and practice exams rather than relying only on theoretical study.
That changes what you should look for in AWS training.
A learner who can describe Amazon EC2 is not necessarily ready to decide when EC2, Lambda, ECS or another compute model makes sense. Knowing what Amazon RDS does is different from designing a resilient database architecture. Memorizing IAM terminology is different from making an architecture secure without unnecessarily restricting the application.
The stronger AWS Solutions Architect courses force learners to make those decisions repeatedly through labs, scenarios and architecture exercises.
Below, we compare the criteria that matter most when selecting AWS Solutions Architect training in 2026.
