Course Overview: AZ-1008: Active Directory Training

This Applied Skills course is intended for students who plan to explore Active Directory Domain Services and get to learn the benefits of hybrid identity management on Azure platform.  

The learners will have opportunities to understand the topology of domain controllers within an Active Directory environment and get the flow of deploying, managing, and migrating a domain controller between servers. They will also get a deeper understanding of how active directory objects are managed and how the group object policies are applied on various objects within the active directory.  

After completing the AZ-1008, participants will be able to:

  • Deploy and maintain AD DS domain controllers, manage operations masters, and configure and manage replication
  • Create, configure, and manage objects and their properties
  • Create and configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs), define domain-based GPOs, and implement GPO scope and inheritance
  • Configure user account rights, protect user accounts, and block Windows NTLM authentication
  • Configure and manage Organizational Units (OUs), delegation of administration, and Active Directory sites and services. 
  • Implement and manage Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), including certificate templates and certificate enrollment.
