Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5.0 – What’s New?

On July 8 Red Hat announced the general availability of the third release of its OpenStack version, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5.0, which is an Enterprise grade platform for building public, private and hybrid clouds.

It is based on the recent Icehouse release of OpenStack and built on the newer Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.4 which were released recently. This release includes many new features that will provide better availability, security, agility & performance. Let’s see some of these feature highlights.

With the above enhancements to the RHELOSP 5.0 release and many more in the pipeline, Red Hat is bound to make an impact in the increased adoption of OpenStack specially among the advanced enterprise groups.
