Create a New App:

  • Data can be added from Dataverse using Direct query mode.

  • Choose the PowerApps environment. Publish the report and navigate to PowerBI service and select “Create new”.
  • PowerApps Studio will launch with a live data connection to Power BI.

Design Your App:

  • Customize the app in PowerApps Studio. Select the fields you want to use in your PowerApps visual.
  • For example, you can add a gallery to display data, labels to show counts, and buttons for actions. In Gallery, Use ‘PowerBIIntegration’. Data in Items property to connect Power BI data.
  • Use the PowerBIIntegration object to interact with Power BI data. PowerBiIntegration.Refresh() can be used to refresh the data.

Save and Publish the App:

  • Save your app with a meaningful name.
  • Publish the app to make it available in your Power BI report.

Interact with the App in Power BI:

  • The app will now be embedded in your Power BI report.
  • Users can interact with the app, and any changes will reflect in real-time within the report.
