Following the successful PoC and Phase-1 implementation, the client needed to transition to a production-grade model suitable for real editorial workflows. While Phase-1 automated scheduled ingestion and batch translation, it lacked real-time translation and direct CMS integration. Translation remained operationally disconnected from the publishing system, requiring manual steps to move translated output into production articles. This resulted in inefficiencies, delays, and limited ability to support breaking news or high-velocity publishing cycles. The absence of API-based translation triggers, along with limited observability and access control, made it challenging to operationalize GenAI translation as a reliable production capability.
• Created secure REST API via Amazon API Gateway for real-time translation requests.
• Implemented AWS Lambda engine to analyze metadata, construct domain prompts, and invoke Bedrock Claude Sonnet 4.
• Returned structured JSON output for direct CMS publishing without reformatting.
• Configured Amazon CloudWatch monitoring with logs, metrics, and operational dashboards.
• Secured access using API Keys, AWS IAM controls, and AWS CloudTrail auditing.
• Utilized serverless auto-scaling architecture to support variable publishing loads.
