Managed AWS Infrastructure Optimization Program with cost optimization, automation, security enhancements, and 16x5 managed services support.
The client is a healthcare technology and analytics company that provides digital health platforms, learning systems, and enterprise solutions for healthcare organizations. Their applications rely heavily on scalable cloud infrastructure to support global users and mission‑critical services.
Infrastructure Cost Reduction
Compute Cost Savings
Backup Coverage for Critical Workloads
The client operated a multi-region AWS environment across Mumbai and Singapore supporting production and development workloads, but over time, the environment accumulated redundant backups, unused resources, legacy instance types, and limited cost visibility, leading to higher costs, increased compliance risks, gaps in disaster recovery, manual operations without standardized runbooks, and lack of centralized monitoring or structured ITSM processes.
• Identified and disabled duplicate EBS snapshot lifecycle policies across Mumbai and Singapore to eliminate redundant backups, and introduced standardized cost reporting with continuous monitoring.
• Implemented multi-region disaster recovery using AWS Backup with cross-region vaults in Zurich and Frankfurt, defined retention policies for Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS, and backup failure alerts ensuring 100% coverage for critical workloads.
• Automated Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS scheduling using AWS Lambda to reduce idle compute costs and enable standardized runbooks under managed services.
• Enabled encrypted EBS volumes, S3 Server Access Logging, and CloudFront signed URLs to strengthen data-at-rest protection, auditing, and secure content delivery.
• Upgraded Amazon RDS MySQL to supported engine versions and migrated the bqerpdb database to an Amazon EC2-hosted MySQL server to reduce costs while maintaining performance.
• Recommended migration from legacy instance families (T2, C4, M4) to newer generations (T3, M6a, C6a) for improved performance, networking, and lower cost per compute unit.
• Conducted a comprehensive AWS environment review across regions covering Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Load balancers, Auto scaling groups, Amazon VPC, Amazon S3, Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, and AWS WAF to optimize architecture and governance.
Achieved 20–30% infrastructure cost reduction, 15–20% compute cost savings, 100% backup coverage, enhanced security posture, and maintained 99.9% uptime across 25+ Amazon EC2 and 10+ Amazon RDS workloads through managed infrastructure optimization and SLA-driven operations.
