The platform contained a large volume of unstructured content across PDFs, documents, and web pages, making it difficult for students to quickly find relevant information. Queries were handled using static FAQ pages and manual support, which did not scale as user traffic increased.
• Web interface hosted on Amazon S3 and delivered via Amazon CloudFront for admin and student access
• Admin users configure welcome messages and settings via AWS Lambda-generated pre-signed URLs for secure data uploads
• Student queries routed through Amazon API Gateway to AWS Lambda, storing conversation metadata in Amazon DynamoDB
• Lambda invokes Amazon Bedrock with Anthropic Claude Haiku for FAQ responses and recommendations
• RAG setup uses Amazon Titan Text v2 for embeddings, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless for vector storage, and Amazon S3 for documents
• FastAPI service on Amazon EC2 performs scheduled website crawls and pushes content to Amazon S3
• Amazon EventBridge Scheduler and AWS Lambda manage Amazon EC2 crawler operations and trigger knowledge base synchronization
