The customer faced challenges establishing a secure, scalable cloud environment with their existing setup lacking proper network segmentation, structured routing, and secure on-premises to AWS connectivity. Stable application communication through Site-to-Site VPN was challenging due to routing, firewall, and health check dependencies. Application availability suffered from absence of load-balanced architecture and health monitoring. Security gaps required AWS WAF protection, IAM controls, and centralized monitoring. The customer needed a solution addressing connectivity, security, routing, monitoring, and application stability across UAT and Production environments.
• Designed secure VPCs with IAM roles, MFA, and network segmentation for Dev/UAT and Production.
• Established encrypted Site-to-Site VPN connectivity with gateways in Mumbai region.
• Configured route tables and security groups for controlled on-premises to AWS routing.
• Created Target Groups for UAT and Production with Application Load Balancer integration.
• Validated connectivity using ping, traceroute, and telnet for stable communication.
• Implemented health checks to ensure Load Balancer routed to healthy endpoints.
• Integrated AWS WAF with ALB for protection against web exploits.
• Enabled Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for monitoring, logging, and auditing.
