Netflix Partners with Microsoft for its New Ad-based Subscription Plans

Netflix- a pioneer in OTT-based entertainment for the first time offers advertisement based lower-priced subscription plans in addition to its popular ads-free basic, standard, and premium plans. Interestingly for this new venture, Netflix has partnered with Microsoft and all ads served on Netflix will be exclusively available through the Microsoft platform.

According to Netflix sources, this initiative helps them to offer new premium value to their ecosystem of marketers and partners and ensure they offer more options to their customers.

Microsoft sources say this initiative is an endorsement of their approach to privacy, which is primarily built upon protecting customers’ information.

Overall, Netflix is all set to expand its customer base by streaming its content through different types of subscription plans for which ad-based streaming is a new inclusion.
