ICCW wants to modernize its aging on-premises infrastructure to support expanding research and monitoring operations. The legacy setup lacked scalability for seasonal workload spikes and growing data volumes, suffered frequent failures, and incurred high maintenance costs.
• Deploy custom VPC Hip_VPC-2024 with public and private subnets across multiple Mumbai AZs and configure comprehensive security groups, IAM roles, and policies for least-privilege access.
• Launch EC2 Windows server (m6a.large) for water management applications with Amazon RDS MySQL (db.m5.large) as production database using private endpoint for secure application-tier access.
• Configure Amazon S3 Standard (100 GB/month) for research data storage with lifecycle management, attach 50 GB EBS volume for high-performance storage, and deploy Application Load Balancer for traffic distribution.
• Implement comprehensive AWS security services including Amazon GuardDuty for threat detection, Inspector for vulnerability scans, and AWS CloudTrail for activity logging and compliance tracking.
• Set up Amazon CloudWatch with real-time metrics and custom dashboards, configure AWS Backup for automated Amazon EC2 and Amazon RDS backups, and integrate Amazon SNS for instant critical alert notifications.
