Visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/superuser.openstack.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">superuser.openstack.org<\/a>\u00a0for videos, presentations and user stories.<\/p>\n<p>Factors like <em>re-usability of existing server infrastructure<\/em>, <em>being able to use Commodity Hardware<\/em>, <em>comparatively lower cost of setup<\/em> as compared to other private cloud options, <em>improved performance, latency (since its private) and agility<\/em> makes OpenStack\u00a0all the more attractive for businesses \/ enterprises to adopt and it is only set to grow in the coming years with so many improvisations &amp; new features being incorporated into it.<\/p>\n<h2>Some of the notable ones to keep an eye are:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sahara<\/strong> for provisioning Hadoop clusters on OpenStack for data processing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puppet<\/strong> module for OpenStack<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to <strong>Trove<\/strong> (database as a service)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ironic<\/strong> for OpenStack bare metal provisioning (available as an incubated project in Icehouse)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OpenStack is already being used by many companies for production purposes and there are already many others who are beyond the early adoption phase.
